So it has been quite a year for me. Here are some of my successes and failures in 2009:
Health & Fitness
- I lost 50 pounds. Probably my best achievement of the year was my fitness.
- I dropped 10% body fat from 30% to 20%.
- Worked out nearly every week of the year
- Started running, yoga, palates, and tai chi
- Started eating healthier and 6 times a day
Websites & Online:
Education
- Finally figured out a degree path and have about one year to go at the University of South Florida
- My degree is going to be Interdisciplinary Social Sciences: Sociology/Anthropology
- Got the class I needed for my associates (two years after I should have taken it, gimmie a break I have been busy)
- Went through about 40+ books/summaries this year, this was a major increase and I love getting through this many books.
- Started the Personal MBA and have made it about half of the way through
Lifestyle/Entertainment
- Lets just say it is currently under construction and evaluation
Career:
- Made it through a really tough financial year with a house over my head and shoes on my feet
- Happy with current position but looking forward to the possible promotion coming
- Now proven to bring successful results in corporate environment, non-profit, and small business sectors
- Expanded my knowledge and helped to make my company a success which really is what it is all about
Now the goals that I missed on this year:
- Well, I sure wasn’t paying off too many bills this year as planned
- I wanted to be down to 10% body fat by now but it makes a great goal for next year
- Wanted to be at $70,000 by now as a base salary. The positive is that I almost got two different jobs for around $90k in a recession year so I am getting closer to that!
Overall this year was an Amazing Success and I am pleased with the results. It was very stressful and took alot of work but I can say that I am looking forward to an even better year in 2010. I hit every goal almost and exceeded many of my own expectations.
Here are some great sites for setting your new years goals:
Dailyburn.com is an outstanding fitness and nutrition tracking site and a must for anyone that is serious about losing weight
43things.com is a great goal site that makes it easy to list out those new years resolutions
Memiary.com is a 5 sentence diary entry for each day making it easy to track the most important thoughts
Here is some inspiration for you to go beyond anything you think you can do:
